Dear Divers and everyone who is interested in Scuba Diving!

Welcome to Koh Samui Easy Divers! We are a PADI-Five Star IDC-Centre, which means that you can do almost every PADI Dive Course – from Discover Scuba Diving all the way up to the Instructor Development Course, we’ve got it all in our program!
Our dive school is well established here on Koh Samui – founded in 1987 and run by an international management.
Our dive operation offers a large training centre at Lamai Beach with fully computerized and air-conditioned class rooms, a swimming pool, where you can experience your first breaths underwater in a relaxed and safe environment and of course our own boat, the M/V Seastar, which takes us easily and comfortably to all our amazing dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand.

The M/V Seastar allows us to offer you a unique diving experience and the relaxing atmosphere on the boat guarantees for an enjoyable day. There is no need for a ferry transfer and we can avoid crowded dive sites easily.
The dive sites offer easy diving conditions, the currents are usually mild, visibility between 5 to 30 m and the depths are ideal for beginners as well as for experienced divers.
There is a lot to see at our dive sites of course – the warm tropical waters of the Gulf of Thailand offer a rich aquatic life and an underwater landscape full of variety and adventure.
Our top quality well maintained Scuba Equipment guarantees for your safety and comfort during your dive.
Safety is our strongest concern – but you still won’t miss any fun! We dive in small groups of maximum 4 divers to one highly professional Instructor or Dive Guide, so they can focus clearly on the needs of every diver. Even if you are travelling without a ‘dive buddy’, you still can join us and dive with one of our groups.

Easy Divers Koh Samui Goes ECO with the Project AWARE Go ECO Operator Campaign

Easy Divers Koh Samui is the latest PADI dive centre to be awarded with Project AWARE Go ECO Operator status in 2006.
Project AWARE Foundation, the dive industry’s leading non-profit environmental organisation, launched the Go ECO campaign into the Asia Pacific region in 2005.  The main objective of Go ECO is for dive centres to minimise their impact on the aquatic ecosystem whilst contributing to environmental, economic and cultural conservation.  Dive centres are required to meet best practice environmental guidelines and commit to the Project AWARE Go ECO philosophy.
“Koh Samui Easy Divers’ is delighted to be awarded with the Project AWARE Go ECO Operator status for 2006.  As a Go ECO Operator we are committed to providing dive experiences that enhance visitor awareness, appreciation and understanding of the local aquatic environment,” said Marita Fassbender, Course Director and Branch Manager of Easy Divers.

DIVERS ALERT NETWORK

Easy Divers Koh Samui is proud to support DAN Asia-Pacific (DAN AP). The Divers Alert Network (DAN) is a global network of not-for-profit, member-based, dive safety organisations working for the safety of all divers through education, research and training.

DAN AP provides Worldwide Emergency Evacuation Coverage and optional Dive Injury (Treatment) Insurance Services for Members. In addition the organisation is responsible for funding and/or manning 24-hour diving emergency hotlines throughout the
Asia-Pacific region.

DAN AP is a part of the International DAN Federation of Dive Safety Organisations with worldwide Membership presently exceeding 300,000.

Wherever members live or dive around the world they have peace of mind knowing that DAN is available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week to assist in the event of an accident/illness.

Why is it so important that as Divers we are protected with DAN Membership & Dive Injury (Treatment) Insurance?

It’s all about being prepared for the unexpected, namely dive accidents and illnesses. It’s essential that divers have a reputable organisation to call that will be able to co-ordinate a rescue effort and get them to the most appropriate treatment for their injury or illness. And then there is the issue of cost. DAN protection ensures the diver will not be lumbered with the burden of a potentially hefty invoice in the event of an accident or illness.

An Example

In 2007 DAN was involved in the evacuation of a paralyzed diver from the Solomon Islands to Australia. The evacuation cost was around AUD$90,000 (as an aircraft had to be sourced from far away). In addition, the treatment costs were in excess of US$30,000, plus on-going expenses.

The essence of DAN Membership & Dive Injury (Treatment) Insurance is about being prepared. DAN offers members peace-of-mind, which comes from knowing they have the experts in diver accident management to call in the event of a diving accident or illness.
